HR Generalist

The HR Generalist will interact with all exempt and non-exempt staff for the Company with regard to Human Resources related issues, including payroll for the assigned locations.
The Generalist will provide administrative and strategic support and coordination for HR and employment related activities for the assigned business unit.

Will assist with coordinating personnel related activities including, but not limited to:
employment, compensation, benefits, training resources and materials, recruiting and employee services.
This individual must be able to intuitively and instinctively handle issues and answers for the staff without jeopardizing the integrity or basic directives of the management staff; and subsequently for the corporation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
Partner with HR Manager/Director on issues involving policies and procedures, compensation, benefits administration, labor law compliance and employee relations.
Serve as an important resource to business unit in the interpretation of human resources policy and procedures, legal compliance, employment law, etc.
Partner with Manager/Director to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies.
Keep the Human Resources Director, (and the officers - when pertinent) abreast of current issues, problems and concerns of the employees.
May assist the Human Resources Director in making decisions about maintaining confidentiality, determining if it should be broken if it is absolutely necessary to breach it to ensure ongoing communication between the employee(s) and the Company.
Assist in the resolution of any employee related issues in partnership with BU leadership and HR Manager.
Support the recruitment and staffing functions within business unit and provide core customer service and administrative support to clients and employees with general human resources, benefits, employment, and payroll questions.
Review, verify and process all new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness, including coordinating and verify benefits enrollment.
Assist with on-boarding new hires.
Reviews personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired workers, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll.
Records new or changed pay rates in payroll register or computer files.
Compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as 401(k), FSA, and insurance.
Reviews payroll for assigned locations to ensure accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures Provide various reports concerning tracking of employee turnover, PTO, and other performance metrics; partner with business unit management and HR Regional leaders to assess results.
Assist in the implementation of any training/procedure changes regarding compensation/benefit strategies as they relate to the assigned BU.
UKG experience HR Certification (SHRM/HRCI) Logistics or Manufacturing experience Bilingual in Spanish Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of related Human Resource experience Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventive labor relations.
Experience in the administration of HR programs and policies.
Experience in basic payroll processing Recommended Skills Administration Confidentiality Customer Service Human Resources Labor Relations Labour Laws Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
