Eastern yards LLC Eastern yards LLC Valley Stream, NY Valley Stream, NY Full-time Full-time $25 - $35 an hour $25 - $35 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Duties - Construct and assemble cabinets, furniture, and other wooden structures according to specifications - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials required and dimensions of the finished product - Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery - Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs on cabinets and furniture - Sand surfaces and apply finishes such as varnish or paint to enhance the appearance of the final product - Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Requirements - Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery - Strong knowledge of construction techniques and woodworking principles - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches - Attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts - Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Note:
Experience or knowledge in construction painting, construction estimating, trim carpentry, siding installation, masonry work, blueprint reading, plastering, or electrical work is a plus.
